Our Ozark Mountain View
Bleu Moon Press is the blog and parent website to all the online selling and promoting ventures of Doug & Sally Williams. We live in the beautiful Ozark mountains of northwest Arkansas and find it so exciting to have a worldwide customer base with the web. Of course, we make a lot of friends along the way as well, which is the icing on the cake!
We started out way back in the 1990’s with a few web design products, a dog kennel and a flea market business under the name of Bleu Moon. I think the name likely was in reference to how often we actually made money on these ventures back then!
In 2001 we opened our first larger scale antique mall booths and Bleu Moon’s Attic was born. Things grew rapidly and we greatly enjoyed our time and endeavors in the world of antique/vintage/collectible buying and selling.
We also began buying on eBay somewhere around the same time and were instantly hooked.
All the while, Doug kept on doing web design with personal projects and several small business sites for others. In 2003 we began to dabble in selling on eBay and RubyLane, still under the name of Bleu Moon’s Attic.
In 2006 we became more serious and focused on online selling and 2007 saw Doug’s retirement from working in the antique mall management field. Due to health and time constraints we also closed the last of our antique mall and flea market booths that year.
Now Doug is fully focused on developing multiple streams of online revenue for us via our antique/boutique items being sold online at sites such as Bonanzle and See Auctions, and his graphic designs and restorations on sites such as CafePress and Zazzle.
Promoting your business is of utmost importance and we are seeking to learn and leverage our use of all the tools on the web to our best advantage without being spammy. Our hope is to inform and perhaps educate along with showcasing our business with the use of the finest of social media sites, such as Squidoo.
Thus, Bleu Moon Press was born. It is our hope to use this site as the hub for all our varied online business, keep our customers informed of what is going on with our sites and develop new customer relationships.
